Bourbon

We have the finest selection of Bourbons

Old Scout's Smooth Ambler

20

The nose is initially a bit dry with alcohol and dusty oak. As it opens, sweet and savory aromas of creamed corn, cinnamon stick, and butterscotch pudding arrive. It's all rather light for the proof. On the palate, things are a little more complex and richer with a generous, warming heat.

Cooper's Craft

10

Simplicity is the name of the game with this bourbon, both in it's thin mouthfeel and simple flavors. Corn, oak, orange rinds, and light hints of green pepper are all present but none dominates the flavor profile. The finish is mellow with very little heat throughout. Vanilla, leather, and toasted oak are present.

Eagle Rare

15

Eagle Rare is a bourbon that lives up to its name with its lofty, distinctive taste experience. TASTING NOTES: The nose is complex, with aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The taste is bold, dry and delicate with notes of candied almonds and very rich cocoa.

Old Forester

10

Created in 1870, Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously distilled and marketed by the founding family before, during and after Prohibition. At 86 proof, Old Forester delivers a genuine bourbon experience, with rich, full flavor and a smooth character that is ideal for sipping neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water or in a classic cocktail.

Old Forester - Rye

At 100 proof, Old Forester Rye plays beautifully in a cocktail but also stands up boldly on its own.

Macallan 18 year

40

The sherried sweetness and some spice carry over from the nose. The whisky is big and creamy. A delicate, charred smokiness permeates the dram.

Dalmore 18 year

30

Notes of vanilla, dark chocolate and candied orange on the nose, followed by a full-bodied, spicy palate of cinnamon and stewed fruit.

Balviene 12 year

18

Balvenie DoubleWood is, to not much surprise, aged in two kinds of oak casks! It was firstly matured in refill American oak casks before it was treated to a finish in first fill European oak Oloroso sherry butts for an additional nine months. The expression was launched in 1993, and has become a somewhat iconic bottling over the years. Even at 12 years old, this rich and complex dram is an excellent example of what the Balvenie distillery can craft.

Glenmorangie

The Original is the flagship single malt Scotch whisky from the Glemorangie Distillery in the Highlands. Matured in a combination of first-and-second-fill American white oak casks for 10 years, the expression is a benchmark for creamy, approachable single malt.

Creamy with a long, smooth and mellow finish, our 12 Year Old is the perfect example of Glenfiddich’s unique Speyside style and is widely proclaimed the best dram in the valley.

Highland Park

Macallan Double Cask 12 Year

15

The marriage of classic Macallan style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak, matured in the perfect balance of hand-picked sherry seasoned American and European oak casks.

Bruichladdich Scottish Barley

20

This, the Classic Laddie, is a 100% unpeated, Scottish barley single malt, matured in American oak casks in warehouses on the shores of the Loch Indaal in the Islay region. This natural whisky is triple distilled and non-chill filtered, before being proofed down with Islay spring water before and is bottled at 100 proof. The flavors speak for the land, but not in the language of peat.

E. M. Invergordon

20

Invergordon Distillery is what we'd like to call a black sheep. It is located in the town Invergordon, in the far north-east of Scotland, in the Highlands. It is situated near a deep water port, and nearby to an oil rig repair yard in Nigg Bay.

Macallan 12 Year

20

Oaky and hot right off the pour. Loads of oak and perfume reads as somewhat bitter at first, with notes reminiscent of an amaretto sour and a hint of spiced plums. The nose softens dramatically after a few minutes, settling into dark sherry and plum sweetness.

Kilchoman Single Malt

30

Kilchoman's Machir Bay is an excellent single malt Scotch whisky from the isle of Islay. The distillers use whisky which has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry butts, resulting in a well-balanced flavour profile, with highlights of vanilla biscuits, light fruit and wafts of warm peat smoke.

Single Malt Whisky

One of the most revered spirits in the world. It has such scope for variation, it can offer complexity or simplicity, unbridled power or a subtle whisper.

Akashi - Japanese

15

A Japanese blended whisky that has been the subject of some controversy. The bottling for the home market in Japan is made with malt whisky and molasses spirit, which would not be classed as 'whisky' in the EU. This export version, however, is made from malt and grain whiskies.

Kavalan - Taiwan

18

Kavalan Classic Single Malt Whisky is adored for its fruit, vanilla, floral and oak flavor notes. This Taiwanese Whisky is carefully distilled at King Car distillery, Taiwan.

Made using Indian 6-row barley from the Himalayan foothills, Brilliance is matured in bourbon barrels for 3-5 years before bottling at cask strength.

Ichiros - Japanese

Dewar's

8

Dewar’s White Label has a delightful, medium bodied and smooth taste profile, handcrafted since its creation in 1899. Light and sweet on the nose, this whisky exhibits some roast malt lurking in the background and holds a decent presence in the mouth, bigger bodied than the nose might suggest. A surprisingly lengthy soft vanilla finish, with a final hint of peat. This whisky is elegant, subtley complex and well balanced.

Johnie Walker - Red

8

Red Label was created by the Johnnie Walker company in 1909, this is a classic blended whiskies, a great mixer and back bar favorite.

Johnie Walker - Black

Johnnie Walker Black Label's iconic square bottle makes it one of the world's most recognizable Scotch whiskies. There is a silkier delivery on the market today, I have not seen it: this is sublime stuff...one of the world's most masterful whiskies back in all its complex glory

Johnie Walker - Gold

20

Johnnie Walker Gold Label was relaunched in 2012. Built around a core of single malt whisky from Clynelish, the Gold Label Reserve is a great addition to the line-up from master blender Jim Beveridge.

Behind its regal appearance lie mellow and rich flavors that are smooth and well-balanced on the palate. This is an authentic cognac, deeply rooted in the terroir and tradition once honored by the French king himself.

Hennessy Black 20.00

30

Hennessy Black is aged five years and dropped into a wholly opaque bottle designed to evoke the night. The palate of this cognac is, to put it bluntly, rough. It has that back-of-the-throat bite that reminds me of young armagnac, though there is more fruit on the front of the palate.

Gin

Here is our short list, you must try.

Monkey 47

20

The zingy citrus is assertive to taste upfront, but gives way to a rich bouquet of flavours including herbal juniper, juicy lingonberries, sweet liquorice, cardamom and hibiscus-like floral touches.

Hendrick's

12

Clear. Juniper aromas with floral hints and a touch of musky rose, followed by a blanket of sweet orange, lime zest, and elderflower. Very classic Gin on the palate with flavors of angelica, coriander, juniper and orris root. A burst of citrus flavors seals the deal.

Martin Miller's

8

Bitter orange zest, fresh juniper an a slight hint of licorice and gentle spice behind it. It’s quite classic in profile with a lot of juniper fortifying it at first glance. When they speak of the specific method for getting the most out of their citrus, it’s fairly evident here that the work has paid off. The orange notes are the star.

Bombay Sapphire

10

Bombay Sapphire opens with a touch of juniper, a ripe citrus and hints of spice in the fragrance. The palate is exceptionally smooth and allows the botanicals to open up one by one and mix in the most lovely way with juniper slightly at the forefront. The finish is bolder but retains the spirit's brightness.

The Botanist

10

The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is adored for its mint, coriander, apple and botanicals flavor notes. This Gin is carefully distilled at Bruichladdich distillery, Islay.

Eden Mill Original

Langley's No. 8

Very subtle yet fresh aromas of grapefruit on the nose which leads to a great blend of juniper, vanilla and lime on the palate. Sightly sweet that creates a long lasting flavour and a hint of spice at the end.

Tanqueray

10

Palate is softly earthy and gentle piney simultaneously brings together angelica, cardamom, lemon zest, sweet orange and juniper.
