Árido Malbec 2007

Arido Malbec at Lake Mary Cork&Olive Wine Store and Wine Bar.

Árido Malbec 2007, from Mendoza Argentina

Árido (Arido) is a smooth Malbec from Argentina, a wine that is easy to drink and enjoy with your friends. This wine has intense deep color, more bluish than red. Árido has smooth sweet aromas of red fruits. Even a novice wine drinker can enjoy this wine. Most Malbec’s that I had previously was more dry. This wine was a real surprise. If you do not enjoy red wines, but you heard of all the health benefits of red wine, and want to drink a glass of red wine everyday… this wine is just for you. This is what the doctor ordered.  Enjoy this wine with your dinner.

Malbec today is known as the Red Wine of Argentina. Even though it’s origin is associated as a blending grape.  A heat-loving variety of grape, it has always struggled to ripen in France. While still capable of producing a full-bodied rich wine, the tannins in these were formidable. In warmer climates the tannins are able to ripen fully, yielding rich, velvety wines packed with black spice notes and dark berry fruit

A hot days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen fully while preserving acidity. Arido claims a 60 degree swing.
