Lake Mary Cork&Olive was part of the Lake Mary Rotary’s biggest fundraiser. It was a lot of fun. The event went without a hitch even the weather cooperated. Wine, Beer, Food, Music and Fun. We tasted the Loravl line of wines from France.
- Lorval Cabernet - Light cherry notes and a smooth finish. This wine is an easy drinking wine that pairs well with pizza, and hamburgers.
- Lorval Chardonnay - Light and crispy with light citrus notes and a smooth finish. This wine pairs well with most light meals and is a must have for the summer ahead.
- Villa Rosa Moscato d’ Asti – This wine has a fresh, fragrant aroma with nuances of peaches and apricots. The wine has a clean, pleasant taste with a crisp, refreshing finish. Enjoy it chilled. This is a great dessert wine, and it is superb with cakes and fruits or by itself at the end of a meal. It is ideal with Panettone, a festive holiday bread. Try it with old-fashioned American pumpkin pie as well.
- Tango Chardonnay - Memorable aroma and unusual persistence. This wine is subtle, long and unctuous, golden and with strong influence of nuts and grapes. Serve chilled or cool and match with seafood and fish in all its forms.
- Tango Sauvignon Blanc - Intense flavor and lively palate. This wine is light, fresh, bright and transparent, with green highlights. Ideal for the summer as an aperitif, and excellent to match with pasta and seafood.
- Tango Merlot - A big red wine with a touch of French oak barrel, long and delicate aftertaste with a slightly spicy finish. Perfect with duck, rabbit and Mediterranean food.
- Tango Syrah – Medium-intensity red, with shades of ruby tiles, brilliant. Perceived aromas of red and dried fruits typical of this variety. Flavor is soft, smooth and fruity, mild and sweet tannin, nice. Easy to drink. Good to match with light meals, soft red meat and pasta.
- Tango Cabernet - A wine of intense color, high structure, complex and good body with Vibrant varietal aroma. Match with red meats, meals and dishes preferably with sturdy garnishments.
- Tango Malbec Delicate on the nose, collecting aromas of dried fruits and nuts, mild and spicy. Brings out the smoked-wood aroma well combined with the wine. Ideal to match with meat in all forms of cooking, sauces and classic dishes of the Mediterranean and international cuisine.
